Yesterday I spent figuring things out. I hit a point in the book where I realized I had a couple of different approaches I could take, and I didn’t know which one would best put me where I wanted to be.
And I considered the section that my editor requested I do as a prologue. I detest prologues. I don’t read them, those I have written have been written under protest.
So I’m eliminating entirely the opening of the book, and will figure out another way to start it. THAT I did not figure out yesterday, so it will be floating around in the back of my mind all day today, no doubt, screwing up my process. Whatever.
Today is about words on the page. I want a lot of them. Start point, 70,573.
