Writing the Novel: 1549 Words, and the Hero’s Early Arrival

The writing went very well tonight. In roughly an hour and 45 minutes, I discovered the crime scene, dealt with the police, and the hero showed up in a manner I hadn’t expected. I hadn’t planned his arrival until the next scene, but this as better.

I have about half of the scene complete, but I’m done for the night. Only had a few hours sleep last night; a rainstorm woke me and I couldn’t get back to sleep.

I like my two main characters. I’ve done thin outlines of them, but hearing their voices and catching their mannerisms has been fascinating. Aleksa especially is winning me over.
