” …. at the Prism awards/editor agent panel, Anna Genoese (sp?) from TOR used Talyn as an example of the perfect fantasy romance novel…one that grabbed her attention from the very first sentence. She said to read that to know what she’s looking for in submissions. So, kudos!”
Yes, this is shameless. Yes, I am shameless for quoting it. But … reading that makes me ludicrously, ridiculously, shamelessly, deliriously happy. I have written a book that is being used by my editor as the example of what she wants.
[floating off in a little cloud of happiness]
Yay! I’m still waiting for my pre-ordered copy to come in from Amazon– sometime this week. I can’t wait to read it!
Float, float, float that boat, gently down the (money) stream….
Yes, congrats Holly! Anna was even more complimentary than my recollection of what she said (alcoholic coffee beverage may be to blame). You should be very proud. 🙂
Validation is always nice, isn’t it?
Congratulations. You’ve more than earned it.
It don’t git no better’n that! Congratulations! Enjoy your float!
She’s also one hell of an amazing editor. If you can get her, you want her.
Earth to Holly…. Earth to Holly… Looks nice up there. Enjoy the ride, you earned it.
It isn’t shameless to quote it. You share your problems and drawbacks with the readers of this blog, so why should you not share the good things as well? Congrats and enjoy your ride on the Happy Cloud, you deserve it. 🙂
You deserve to float!
When Shadawyn and I saw Anna at Writer’s Weekend this year, you came up in a conversation about Forward Motion and what it was. It was great getting to hear her speak so complimentary of you around everyone. She rocks!
