What I Thought Every Woman Knew

I thought every woman knew that if you didn’t get pregnant in your teens and twenties, your odds of ever getting pregnant fell off to nothing at a blinding rate. Apparently, every woman doesn’t know this.

Rule of thumb — if you want to have kids, the career needs to wait. Because the kids won’t.

(Yes, I know not every woman is in a position to have kids in her teens or twenties. I’ll note, however, that women for whom children are a priority need to start assessing their lives while they’re still very young, and if necessary, make adjustments to help reach that priority.)
