According to THE PACE PLAN, I only have to get 170 words per ten minutes. This is, for me, supposedly a steady but comfortable pace.
And yet here I am, having started promptly at 6 AM today, with 726 words remaining to get my three thousand. Not likely that I’ll look at the proposal for the third Onyx book — I’m struggling just to get done with my daily must-do.
I have no doubt that there will be days when theory and fact will converge into one happy, flowing stream of great words at a steady pace. Today, however, is clearly not going to be one of those days.
