German Edition, Vengeance of Dragons, Painting by Ilya Repin (1844-1930)

The German editions of my books have so far used classical paintings — I think they make gorgeous covers, but they aren’t precisely representative of the contents of the book.

This painting makes me think of pre-war Calimekkan society — sort of decadent and rich and dark.
