Today I’ve been working on affiliate stuff

Here’s an example of what I came up with:

Affiliates can find the new banners for the Holly Lisle’s Writing Clinics under N-L Clinic Series and N-L Plot Clinic.

Tomorrow I’m working on banners for Zette’s 2YN Series and Bettye Baldwin’s Writing the Horse Series.

I’m trying to make the advertising spiffier and more professional.

I’m in the post-book doldrums. I want to snap out of them quickly, though, because I get to use Scrivener to do the next two chapters of the Green Magic book, and I’m excited about that.

I’ve downloaded it and I’m working through 🙂

Sympathy for the Devil is one of my all time favorites.

The book about the nurse who made the deal with God is Sympathy for the Devil. It’s been out of print for a long time, but you can read it free here.

Well I have to say, it’s going well. Once I got into it I hardly noticed – it’s really no different to reading a long blog. I stayed up far too late reading it. No exercises yet, I’m just absorbing the advice. I love those charts – hubby saw them over my shoulder and said “What the heck is that?” They look pretty complicated until you read the text.

In the book you mention that you wrote a book about a nurse who made a deal with God to save the souls of the damned. Which one is that? I’d like to read it.

Yeah, Holly, I know how those doldrums go. I’ve never finished a novel, but I’ve finished several short stories and I just kinda walk around the house in a daze afterwards. I feel tired, and I can’t concentrate on anything, so I can’t begin to imagine.what it’s like to finish a novel.

Holly-Sure. That’s why I made it. As I said, it’s my practical way of saying “thank you for your books”. Please, tell me if you need help with any other design (kankamuso@gmail.com)

Meryl–Thank you for taking the chance on a new medium. I know how tough it is to think of something that isn’t delicious-smelling paper and ink between covers as a book. I was a resister, too.

I hope Character Clinic helps you accomplish what you want with your writing. Let me know how it goes?

Kankamuso–Your ad is beautiful, and so much better than any of mine. Would it be okay if I used it?

I just downloaded Character Clinic – first e-book I have ever bought. I never though anything would tempt me to buy a book that wasn’t paper, but how could I resist?

I hope you get better soon.

Ahh yes ’tis the season for allergies and all the extras they bring-headaches, infected sinuses, sore throats from drainage… I do sympathize with you and hope you perk up soon.
Like the idea with the new banners. Have fun playing with them.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I’m still sick. Wondering when this junk is ever going to clear up. Thanks for the encouragement. Going to take a couple days off to rest and see if that helps. And I’ll get the ads for the other series done when I get back.

Good luck with the doldrums, just think of the extra time you have for fun and games now that Hawspar is going out whole and doesnt need a major edit.

Nice! I like the way the covers work together.

Good luck getting out of the doldrums. (Though that phrase always makes me think of THE PHANTOM TOLLBOOTH now. I loved that book.)

Hi, Holly. I’ve got the whole collection and I must say they’re superb technique books. Plot clinic is really meaty and I’m through a second lecture.

I’ve made a redesign of the ad (I hope you don’t mind: it’s a sign of my gratitude for your books). You can see it at:
