I missed passing on several of my How To Think Sideways students’ really cool recent writing news because things have been a bit hectic lately.
But I wanted to give them public cheers.
Cat Gerlach won the Lucky Agent Contest with her first HTTS class project, the novel Thicker Than Water.
Ieva (student ID) placed a short-story class project—and this is her first story published in English (her native language is Latvian).
Marti-v (student ID) placed third in the Pike’s Peak writing contest in the SF/F/H category with her HTTS novel.
Huge congratulations to all three students!
Yay! Way to go, both to the contest winners–and to you, Holly, for a course capable of teaching to contest success level.
Congratulations, all of you!
By the way, the only American in that list is Marty-v. I’m German. So I’m doubly happy. Congrats again to all the others.
Way to go, Cat, Ieva, and Marti-v!
Wow! Congrats to Marti, Ieva, and Cat- that’s so awesome! 🙂
Wow! Thanks for mentioning me, and congrats to Cat and Marti – you deserved it!
