Synopsis ready to go

By Holly Lisle

The synopsis for Midnight Rain, incorporating editor requests for a more real-world approach to the villain and the hero, is finished. Came out at twenty-one pages. With the appended thumbnails for a couple of follow-up novels, the package is twenty-five pages. It reads well, I like the changes, and I think that they actually make the whole project stronger — not just as a mainstream novel, but as a story.

And while my proposed changes will entail rewriting, it won’t be huge rewriting. A good, vicious, one-pass revision should take a month or two and do the job.

So. Now I wait to see if my vision of what the book can be will mesh with that of my potential editor(s). Next couple of weeks ought to be nice and tense.
