Today I’m likely to end up with negative numbers. The whole first scene of HAWKSPAR has to go. It’s the main character telling her backstory. Dammit.
Why didn’t I see this when I was writing the thing. What blindness is it that permits a writer who knows better to start a book with goddamned backstory, instead of moving straight into action.
So my 5K of existing HAWKSPAR goes down the tubes. Fun, fun, fun.
