Post-book breather

I’m taking a couple of days off from writing. I have been sitting at the computer in the mornings just beating my head against a wall where Midnight Rain is concerned, and it finally occurred to me that, once again, I have attempted to jump into a project without taking a breather from the previous one.

I’m going to get a tattoo that says Avoid Postbookum Depression! Take a few days off when you finish a book, stupid. At some point, I’d think I’d remember to do this, but after twenty-five books, I now have to acknowledge that if I were going to, I would have by now. {shaking head}

Words to live by, Holly!

Though I think I’ve found the best mental vacation between books, the one time it worked, was to stop and read a good one by someone else I enjoy. Like yours…

Hey, if you get a tattoo, I get one too.

You deserve it!

(The time off, not the postbookum depression.)
