Orpheus and Eurydice

I point you to Orpheus and Eurydice, in a tale that has echoes in Lauren’s traverse of the abyss in search of her dead husband Brian. The scene today is going well — she has successfully passed through the river of the dead, only to discover once she reaches the other side that things are not as she expected them to be, and that her attempt to pull Brian out of the afterlife might have not just the complications that she foresaw, but a host of others. And that getting back is going to be a big problem.
