It’s flying now — I’m working in a bit of backstory with the nasty bit of a bite that’s going to end the first scene. And bringing back a few of my favorites from Memory of Fire. This has a solid, direct feel to it that my first two attempts at this book simply didn’t have.
It better. I don’t have time for Version Four. I have to get this one right. At times like this, I wonder how Mary Lou Retton nailed that perfect ten. I could use that exact combination of focus, talent, and magic right now.
