So, with luck, I’ll make some time. Book first, then proposal. I’m still okay all the way around — I have 71,208 words of the novel finished, and anywhere between 100,000 and 120,000 words will fulfill my contract, though to finish the story to my satisfaction, I’m going to need as much of the extra space as I have time for.
And the proposal is just revision now, and revision is challenging, but easier to do well than first draft. Matt went over it for me and critted it, so I know what I have to work on.
