Heard from Claire yesterday. Apparently while the first 150 pages of LGD were just about word-perfect, after that problems are huge. From her edit letter, it sounds like I’ll be tossing the last 59,000 words of the book and starting over from scratch.
I’ll have to wait until the edited hardcopy of the manuscript arrives — it should be landing on my doorstep any time. Things may not be as dire as they sounded in her letter. But either way, LGD has to be done as soon as it gets here, which means no NaNo, and my deadline for HAWKSPAR goes straight down the toilet.
