Larissa Ione Auction Update II

First, I’d like to say thank you to the winner of the first of my crit auctions for bidding so generously on the crit. She paid $366.47, far more than I could have hoped to donate out of my own funds.

Second, I’d like to thank all of you who are bidding on the rest of the auctions. Thank you so much for your generosity — you’re putting together a lot of money for Larissa and her family. You’re good folks.

In the Larissa Ione fundraiser, here’s the link to my closed manuscript crit, my still-have-some-time manuscript crit, autographed Midnight Rain, autographed Last Girl Dancing, autographed complete WORLD GATES trilogy, PBW manuscript crit, Anna Genovese manuscript crit, and the link to all the other auctions.

Wasn’t quite sure where to put this, but I thought it might be neat if such auctions could be a yearly thing, with the proceeds going to a literacy fund or some other such writerly/bookish charity. I have no idea if yearly is too much to ask for author/agent/editor time & resources, but this has been such a great drive for Larissa that I thought why should it stop there? Is there a good place to put this idea up for consideration among those who have so generously donated their skills and their bucks? Or should it be kaiboshed right here and now before we get carried away?

That’s fantastic! It’s a lot of money, but she got a great bargain, too. An honest appraisal by a professional is priceless.
