This is such a delicate thing I’m almost afraid to mention it. But stories started sneaking back into my consciousness after the parathyroid surgery, and lately I’ve been starting each weekday morning writing a few hundred words.
It’s what I can make time for before I start into the still-enormous daily workload of getting the HollysWritingClasses.com site up and running and out of beta.
I’m not doing anything on projects folks know about. Those require research, development, timelines, backstory—infrastructure.
And this feels like a seed sprouting after a long, hard winter. Like, if I don’t step carefully, I could kill it.
So I’m stepping carefully. Right now, I’m just putting together a little story in an interesting new world. I’m aiming for about ten-thousand words.
I have about 1200. It’s science fiction. It has interesting aliens.
It makes me happy.
Yes! Very excited about this and can’t wait to read new fiction from you
I’m looking forward to putting this one up. I’m starting to develop PLANSβ’ for it as the world keeps getting cooler on me.

Thank you. π

Thanks.
New Holly stories. This is a Good Thing ™.
LOL. And thank you.
You go girl!!! Keep feeding and watering that seed and it will sprout novels before you know it!!!
π Thanks, BJ. I’m increasingly excited about this story. It’s an entirely new SF universe for me to write in.
Yeah, more Holly stories coming. Can’t wait to read. It so wonderful you feel that way again and are moved to write. It must be a bit like the sun coming and rainbows reflecting after long storm. Happy for you.
That’s a pretty apt description. Still amazed at the effects the parathyroid tumor removal have had on my life.
Yay! I’m so glad you’re writing, and it’s bringing you joy!
Thank you. Me, too. π
