No, not that dream.
The other one. The one where you never have to wonder what you’re going to wear, or think about it when you get out of bed in the morning.
I have acquired, at the lovely price of $4.95 apiece, ten baseball-style 100% cotton Fruit of the Loom T-shirts in a variety of pleasant two-color combinations. Ten. They will hang in the closet next to the folded jeans, and each day, I’ll grab the next one to the left off of the rack and get on with life. No pondering, no thinking, no digging necessary. The summer uniform is now in place. Already had the winter uniform — plain sweatshirts in a variety of pleasant colors, plus jeans.
Later today, I’ll clean out all the stuff that required thought — “Do I really like that shirt, does it fit right, are all the buttons on, is it what I want to wear today?” — and find another home for them.
One more roadblock removed from the morning. Ah, the luxury.
