Aside from a total overhaul of the front page, (and site-wide replacement footers, which is a trivial fix), the site is finished. I think.
You should be able to get everywhere from the links across the top, and everything should be easier to see and easier to use. Is it working for you?

The colors are easy on the eyes, navigation is much easier, and the whole site now has a lightness to it that it didn’t have before. Well done!
Things look good and seem to work fine.
Except–there are the following messages along the bottom of the pages. Are they important to you? I’m just sending the set across the bottom of one page but similar messages appear on all the pages I’ve looked at.

Wow! Colorful, simple and clean. Looks perfect on my system, Windows XP and Firefox. (Yes, I do have one non-linux system around). I’ll try the linux boxes later and let you know if I find anything.

Actually, now that I think of it, there’s one usability improvement that I’d like to see. Have you considered adding a “print” stylesheet at least for the article pages that removes the sidebars, leaving just the page header and article text? That way if someone wants to print an article they don’t spend two-thirds of each printed page on site navigation and advertising, leaving the actual article as a column taking up the middle third of the page.

Looks good, except for the “[An error occurred while processing this directive]” footer on the main page… and the Articles page… and the “rules of ecosystems / SF worldbuilding” page… At a guess, it’s almost everywhere that isn’t your writing diary.
And the “Shopping List for Better BEMs” article seems to be linked only from the SF worldbuilding page, and not from the various menus (although that’s nothing new).
