Sixty more pages down, and this time I found something I loved — the sailors’ and cannibals’ Texas-chili-eating battle scene. I didn’t remember I’d written it, I didn’t remember how it went, and it worked.
I didn’t have to slaughter as much on other pages, either. I’m starting to feel some hope that I can get through this.
You mean they make chili out of the leftovers of the battle?
Well, Stuart MacBride (Halfhead) might even like it. 🙂
Texas-chilli-eating battle scene?
I’m frightened…
Hope is a *very* good thing. 🙂
Good luck with the rest of the revision!
This is off-topic, but your link to my blog points toward the rants category. Can you change it to http://68.225.91.186/cgi-bin/anders-blosxom.cgi ? Thanks!
Nah, Jim. You know better than to ask what’s in Texas chili! Don’t give it a second thought. That’s seasoning.
::looks alert: Chili? Chili?
Should I be worried about the cannibal participation…..
Wunderbar! Velcro(TM) Dog sends his bark of congratulations, too.
