Got 2700 words, but I’m at a stopping point

And I’m not sure what happens next. At this point I’d be thrashing if I went farther. So I’m going to wrap for the night and do some more research. I’ll sleep on the dilemma I’ve set for my characters — see if dreams will toss me any bones. They do sometimes.
