1432 words yesterday, and it was a little like pulling teeth. I was exhausted all day, and a little nauseous, but there they are, nonetheless.

We seem to live in similar worlds, LOL. I’ve noticed over several days that your mood matches my own! Anyway, yesterday I went to bed at five and didn’t really wake up until nine this morning. (I say I didn’t “really” wake up because apparently I did some e-mailing in the middle of the night, much to my surprise this morning.)

      Feel better, girl. Nice wordage!

298 words for me yesterday, done while the kids were watching “Charlie and Lola.” ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m considering setting this story aside and going back to work on my last novel, which I stopped writing 10K words in. I don’t even remember why I stopped. I probably guilted myself into revising one of the many many first drafts on my hard drive and have been in revision purgatory ever since. ๐Ÿ˜›

Been working on the second scene of chapter 8.

This is a nice quite scene with two characters chatting. We discover one character has a tie to the nightmare creature from chapter seven. She saw the creature once when she was a child.

    Word count for today: 407
    Word count for yesterday: 411

487 words (for yesterday) – up way early this morning, for me anyway, and about 4 horses short of a good nights sleep. Without exception, the words jiggled out yesterday in the most amusing manner, I think I could have written about a flaky, week old, half-eaten biscuit yesterday and it would have been exciting.

The dead model girl in the billboard turned out to not be quite so dead after all. Even though her corpse is still laying on the sidewalk, she pops out of nowhere behind my MC and yanks a gun out of a nearby police officer’s belt. She apologetically informs the MC its going to hurt before shooting him in the head. Apparently a living MC is of no particular use to the mysterious, dead?, model girl.

I netted +100 words on my edit-IP. No words on the WIP.

Considering how many words you usually manage, I guess this is the equivalent of a writing-free day for you? ๐Ÿ˜‰

LOL. I’m hopped up on Benadryl and Excedrin Migraine. I’ve had a fever for two days straight and I have five kids who seem to feel absolutely spectacular if their energy level is any implication. So yes, just about a day off for me, but probably harder fought for than average, LOL. Not a blip on the paying work, though. =c/

1067 for me last night. Abandoned the scene I was trying to write because I was bored and moved on to the next one, where my two MCs fought for a while, then walked in irritated silence for half the day. I think they’ll forget the fight for a bit though, since when I left them they had just been attacked by an assassin. And my female MC had to save his butt because the hood of his cloak got tangled up with his sword hilt. Oh the shame… =)

Word count for the day 417
It has been a long time since I sat down at the computer to write so I spent a little to much time going over what I have so far .
looks like I will be low man on the totem pole for the day worked mostly on main character’s home today .

Sarah, Cat, Treelight, Dawn, djmills – thank you for your kind words yesterday ๐Ÿ™‚ I used raspberry tea with raspberry jam + lots of sleep and it seemed to help somewhat. I’m still sick but not miserable.
Still at zero (but I did some work on other projects). I’ll have to go 4+ hours by train today so not all hope is lost.

I like to write while being on a train ride. Somehow it’s easier than when I sit at home.

The woman took our little thief to meet his maker but no one was home. Our thief tries to convince her to just leave him there (so he can leave and take care of his own business) but she decides to take him home with her until she can figure out what to do with him. When they get to her mansion, he realizes that he’s been there before.

In the next scene, he’s going to have to tell her that he stole the ebony and silver necklace that a lover gave to her over 2000 years ago. Let the ass whoopings commence.

Nothing got done today. I was feeling blah and the weather was making my internet flick off and on at random intervals.

Still lost in band camp. Tired, dead…ready for sleep.

I think I’ll start the workweek with Holly on Sunday (since band camp ends tomorrow) and get some more words. I miss writing, but I’m just so worn out from this week.

Anyway, off to bed for me. Night.

2,447 words today, and my heroine gets really angry at Ryan for getting hotheaded and stupid when he decides to stand up against someone very dangerous. A fight ensues, until things simmer down and we find out more about Ryan’s history and the vampyre’s culture while our heroine tends the hero’s wounds.

Is there a limit to the number of times a character can cheat death? Honestly, Ryan meets near death experiences like dogs at a park. But then again, that’s why our heroine is angry with him…He needs to take better care of himself. ๐Ÿ™‚

I like characters that cheat death every five minutes … at last when they are the good guys. It gets a bit frustrating when the bad guys do this all the time.

Lol, it is definitely frustrating when the bad guys do it. But Ryan is driving me nuts, because last night he did something really stupid and I was on the edge of my seat, shouting at him to shut up and quit putting his foot in his mouth even though I was the one typing his words. ๐Ÿ˜€

No new words for me today, at last none that I count.
But I was busy with my world and my story for hours nevertheless, because I finally reorganised all the various files in which I stored my notes and background-info etc..
I can’t say that I have less seperate files now, but at last I know now where to find which information and where to put new ideas and remarks.
In the process I also stumbled across the one or other old idea or detail that I had forgotten.
Well, that really was great fun … but now I’m so tired that I’ll fall asleep any second.

770 words – good progress on the second thread. Gave myself shivers with a horrible torture scene, but the victim lives to be found later on by the MC. I’m really liking it.

Going to try to get some more words done early tomorrow morning before I spend the rest of the day babysitting 15month old twins for my cousin-in-law. That should be interesting!
