I had to update WordPress, and the theme I was using was incompatible with the current upgrade. The Gantry structure and various related plugins came to a hideous, screeching halt.
I’m making do for now with the default WordPress theme, which is a whole lot nicer than it used to be.
But things are going to keep changing until I find a more flexible and configurable theme that will work the way I want.
I apologize for the sudden and unanticipated change—having the writing diary DIE in the update due to incompatible plugins and infrastructure was no fun—but at least everything is back to working again.
And, HEY, on the bright side, there’s now a search box that actually lets you search the blog right up at the top of the page. Go figure.
C. J. Cherryh just updated her Wordpress site as well, I believe. She said something about the ‘Kitchen Sink’ area that included a lot fo things. Maybe you need to look at that area as well?
At any rate, good luck getting back the things you really want!
I actually find this quite calming. It is simple to move around.
I like this theme Holly. 🙂
That red theme is gorgeous, and I hope you can get it back–but the words survived, and we’re all here, so it’s cool.
Hello Holly, if you want some help with Wordpress, PHP or anything, drop me a line, I know my way around the CMS 😉
