Tuesday night, HUNTING THE CORRIGAN’S BLOOD hit #8 in Books/SF/Space Opera on Amazon.com.
The book was hovered around the top ten all day yesterday, and is #20 right now.
I want to thanks the folks who bought the book, who recommended it, who wrote reviews. With Cady having a good kickoff, it makes my chances of finding a readership for WARPAINT much better.
If you liked the book, please tell friends with similar reading tastes. I appreciate your help letting people know it’s out there, and it’s worth their time.
Holly,
I bought this book when I was doing the course (HTTS), where it was offered quiet cheap.
Is there any difference between that and this version?
This version gets rid of a bunch of typos, fixes some errors, includes a new afterword, includes the first chapter of WARPAINT, and includes the link to the downloadable song (and upcoming other cool stuff, like the Minecraft full-size model of the Corrigan’s Blood — yes, I am a geek.)
Substantive changes? Not many, and those that exist are small enough YOU probably won’t notice them. (They bugged the shit out of me. :D)
Oh—if you buy from my site, you do get all three versions for the price: PDF, ePub, and Kindle.
And the error is in both the large image to the right of your post and also in the Amazon add at the top. 🙂
Btw, when I clicked on the image of Cady’s novel cover and the link below it, it took me to an error page. “Sorry, no such page.” And the link reads:

Just thought you’d wanna know. 🙂
I grabbed a copy of Cady for Kindle (hey, I like that!) as soon as I could after receiving the email announcement, Holly. Successful and entertaining writer and generous with her fans: Good on ya, Holly! We love ya! And we love discounts, too. 😉
I bought the book, but it was $5.99 on Amazon instead of $4.99. I guess I missed the Caty e-mail to go buy it at the reduced price. Well, congratulations on your Amazon rush and here is hope you can do it again for War Paint. Just give us all a heads up so we don’t miss your rush for it when it comes out. I hope War Paint will reach number one.
Great news Holly!
I am looking forward to reading Warpaint!
BJ
I have been waiting to read this, and bought it the day you announced the release. Can’t wait to finish the book I’m reading now so I can get to Cady!
Congrats, Holly. 🙂
I bought a copy since I’m enjoying Memory of Fire so much. (Different series, I know. But it’s still you.) Looking forward to reading and reviewing it.
I didn’t buy it on Amazon but did post a brief review there. Congratulations on managing to get that high in the ratings, you are facing some stiff competition. I saw Iain M. Banks at #10 when you were at #16, for example.
I can’t post comments in the Ask Cady post on your Cady blog, even when logged in to WordPress. The “post reply” button is just not there. Perhaps the system knows I’m likely to ask Cady stupid questions like “Cady, you find stuff – can you find my keys?” But judging from the fact there’s been only one post I think that perhaps comments have been disabled for that post.
THANK you. Both for posting a review, and for letting me know about the problem posting comments on the blog.
I’ll go see if I can fix it.
Okay. I think it’s now fixed. If you try again and it still doesn’t work, please let me know here.
I just tried again, still the same. I CAN post comments on the October 16th blog about the Didn’t Expect That video, and also the later post about Cady going live. I cannot post comments in the two earliest blog entries. (Those are the intro blog and the Ask Cady blog).
I have tried in both Chrome and Internet Explorer, running on Windows 7. Same results.
Thanks Holly.
Yog-S.
That’s bizarre. When I get a moment, I’ll log out and see what I have to do to get those pages to work.
And I’ve just checked. (Things like this bug me.) I have Allow comments selected for the post. But logged out, I’m not getting a Reply button either.
I am now well and truly annoyed, but I cannot permit myself to get sidetracked by it today.
I’ll go back over the weekend and see if I can figure out what’s going on.
