Now I’m back to work, and ready to push through and with luck be done by eight tonight. Today’s scene belongs to Molly, and is dark and ugly and tragic, and sets up much of the rest of the book, and puts into place characters and events that are going to be echoing for books to come.
I have to nail this one, because I’m going to be living with the repercussions of it for years and hundreds, if not thousands, of pages.
With the time constraints involved in getting this book done, I am basically on the tightrope, no net. But that’s all right. That’s when the writing is best and most fun.
