72,737 words, and a fine cliffhanger

Both the killer and Alan now know where Phoebe is. Alan’s a little closer to her, but the killer isn’t injured, and Phoebe is now aware that Alan isn’t safely elsewhere, and that they’re both coming, and that if she leaves her door barred, the killer will shoot Alan in front of it — but there’s no guarantee that Alan will get to her first.

So that’s where I’ll pick up tomorrow. And the interesting thing is, I sort of know what will happen overall — at least I know where the whole thing will end. But I have no idea what’s going to happen when I start into this tomorrow morning. It should be fun to find out.
