Thought I’d done more. Spent time developing the characters of Jim and Charlie, two detectives that are central to the case but peripheral to the story. They were cardboard and now they’re not, but I didn’t get many new words during that work.
Did the ‘Jess with the killer’ scene, though, and it went well. On to ‘Hank with more good news’ scene. All the good news crashes, of course, but you have to really get their hopes up before you send them spiralling into that final horror of struggle just to survive. So. ….
