1183 words, and a reprieve

I can’t exactly say I’m flying through this, but I am making steady progress. I didn’t know what I was going to write today until I sat down, and suddenly the next bit of the current scene, and a solid direction for the subsequent couple of scenes, presented itself.

Where do ideas come from? I wish to hell I knew, but sitting down today and finding myself with a couple of strong, workable ideas felt like a reprieve from the hell of sitting in front of a blue screen for nine or ten or eleven hours getting a few sporadic words and wishing I knew where I was headed.

Today the process of writing is interesting, and perhaps even fun.
