Painting for Thunder of the Captains — by Ken Tunell

This is kind of logo-ish. The snake is an essential element of the story, and the men pictured are well-done — you can tell that Tunell is a good artist, but he didn’t get much of a scene to illustrate. I’ve had covers I’ve liked better. I have a frank prejudice for scenes illustrated from the book as opposed to concept covers. But that’s me.
