Too tired to push on this. Had a long day, and got a lot done on THE WRITING CRAFT. The episode in progress is Doing the Work: Finding and Keeping Your Motivation. I like what I’m getting there.
But it sort of wiped me out for the write tonight, so with an even 300 new words done, I’m going to go to bed. I’ll read comments and answer questions tomorrow.
Had a great explosion at the end of this section, though. And fun getting to it.

I have achieved a whopping 42 words today (Thursday). I spent the day preparing for the baby due in November. This evening I needed a nap and wanted writing time. Neither need or want was respected. Which sucks because I lost a great opening to my next chapter. It was in my head, my MC was chatting away. Eventually he realized I wasn’t going to have time for him, and left.
For the first time it was more like a conversation than an Interrogation. I was hearing him tell a great story the interspersed current and back story. Then he got fed up and shut up.
I’m so peeved that I ruined the spelling in my last post. Grrrr.
You’ll get it back. At first, those times when your character comes to life and talks to you are hard to hang onto. It does get easier.
And congratulations on the baby-on-the-way.

280 so far today. I think I’m going to try rereading it all once I get the girls in bed and see how things are flowing and see if I am missing anything.
Oh, and this is my official notification that I am jealous of Silke’s neat little wings icon. Snowflakes are pretty and all, but DURN! Wings, a horned halo, AND a barbed tail??!??
410 words. Forgot to post yesterday. Did some interweaving of old material into new as well, but that was kinda hard to count, so I didn’t.
455 words today, a total of 2595. I didn’t want to write at all, but oh, goodness did I have fun. The MC has been set firmly on the path of alienating her over-ambitious sister and furthering her interest in the mysterious woman that has taken her fancy.
And, oh, did the dialog sing this time! Those sisters had more than a few words to say to one another!
